Chrissy Fitchett graduated with a degree in Photography and Culture & Politics from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2015. Her work considers ideas of family structure, generational connections to land and knowledge, and issues of political and social marginalization, such as forced migration and gender inequity.  Her recent series explores narratives of permanence and transformation through the natural features of Maryland’s Eastern Shore.  Chrissy currently works as the Associate Director of the Baltimore Youth Film Arts program at Johns Hopkins University, which offers young adults collaborative learning opportunities in lens-based storytelling.
